Villa Avalon II’s traditional Balinese entrance opens onto a delightfully private walled garden, where a living and dining pavilion (with kitchenette) forms the heart of a historic Javanese teakwood joglo, looking out onto a sun terrace and a 7-metre pool. Comfortable chairs invite lazy afternoon siestas and the dining table seats six.

To one side of the living and dining pavilion are the villa’s two bedrooms. The high vaulted ceiling of the sleeping pavilion gives both rooms – one furnished with a king-size bed, the other a queen – a theatrical sense of space, heightened by handsome furnishings and arresting Balinese paintings.  Granite basins and walk-in rain showers add glamour to the ensuite bathrooms and there’s generous wardrobe space in the dressing areas. Both bedrooms open onto a shared veranda.

It’s rare to find such a well-established villa only 50m from the beach and yet just a few minutes’ drive from downtown Seminyak. It is a great option for groups looking to be in the thick of action, with the beach on one side and numerous clubs, restaurants and boutiques on the other. Just beyond the entrance to Villa Avalon II is La Laguna – a prize spot for sunset cocktails, and a short stroll along the sand brings you to Mozaic and Potato Head beach clubs and the W Hotel.

CAPACITY : 4 adults (2 ensuite bedrooms: 1 king and 1 queen). An extra bed can be provided on request for a small extra charge.

LIVING AREA:  Open-sided living pavilion with kitchenette, dining and seating areas; small pool deck for sunbathing.

POOL :  7m (long) x 4m (wide) x 1.5m (deep).

STAFF : Villa Manager; chef; butlers/housekeepers; gardener/pool attendant; engineer; guards providing night security.  Masseuse, spa therapist and babysitters – extra, on request.

DINING :  A variety of Indonesian and international dishes prepared from a suggestion menu.  Requests accommodated (including special diets). Grocery cost is charged 20% handling fee which is subject to service and tax at the prevailing rate.

 COMMUNICATION :  WiFi internet access; PABX room-to-room phone system; computer and printer on request.

ENTERTAINMENT : 37-inch flat-screen satellite TV and DVD player in bedroom.

FOR FAMILIES :  Villa Avalon’s proximity to clubs, restaurants, boutiques and the beach makes it popular with families with young adults. If your group includes younger children, facilities available to make your stay comfortable include a high chair, baby cot, pool floating toys, puzzles.

TRANSPORT : The villa is so close to Seminyak, and taxis can be called on demand.SPA :  In-villa spa treatments selected from a comprehensive spa menu can be carried out by professional spa therapists (extra cost applies).
